We chose to call our newest artwork "The dog watch". This an expression for a guard on a ship with divided guard teams on board.
In the Norwegian language, "hundevakt" got its meaning from West Germanic languages such as the English Dog Watch and the German Hundswache. It is often about unpopular guards at night, guards who are deviant in various ways, or associated with natural phenomena. On some Norwegian ships, the dog watch is generally from midnight to 04:00.
